Chaplain Resident
Job Description Summary
The Chaplain Resident participates in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program and provides spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff across OhioHealth facilities.
Responsibilities And Duties
- 50% Fully participates in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program, meeting all course requirements on time.
- 15% Provides ongoing spiritual care, prayer, sacramental ministry, and assists with patient education and advance directives.
- 15% Shares rotation of "on-call" responsibilities as needed.
- 5% Participates in interdisciplinary teams and hospital-wide committees.
- 5% Attends staff meetings and educational retreats.
- 5% Supports the system's deceased care program, including grief counseling and assisting with paperwork.
- 2% Serves as a liaison between local clergy, patients, families, and staff.
- 1% Supports policy development, strategic planning, and evaluation of the Pastoral Care Department.
- 2% Assists in organizing workshops, lectures, and other events.
- 1% Shares responsibilities for providing various worship services, including memorial services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
