About the role
Provides for the provision of spiritual care to patients/families/caregivers and staff for the Medical Center. Also works through the Pastoral Care Department to provide pastoral care services to other areas of the Medical Center as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provides spiritual assessment, care and support to patients, families and staff.
- Organize, coordinate, lead, and/or participate in worship services and rituals for the Medical Center.
- Work with the multidisciplinary team in assessing the holistic care needs of patients and families.
- Participate fully in the Clinical Pastoral Education educational curriculum.
- Serve as shift house chaplain to cover the pastoral care needs of the Medical Center after office hours.

- Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited school
- Experience: Minimum 0 years
Qualifications
- Licensure or other certifications: None specified
- Education: Graduate level theological degree from an accredited school
- Experience: Prior experience in pastoral ministry in a congregational or clinical setting
Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Theological and Behavioral Science understanding of human illness and suffering
- Awareness of cultural and religious understandings of illness and health
- Computer skills
