Chaplain Residency Program
About the role
The Chaplain Residency Program at BayCare Health System is designed for students enrolled in the Clinical Pastoral Education program. This position is part of the interdisciplinary team and focuses on providing spiritual care to meet the needs of patients, families, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Provides spiritual care to meet the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of patients, families, and team members.
- Aids in planning and implementing department services and functions in collaboration with other department members.
- Engages in all aspects of the Clinical Pastoral Education program.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in the Clinical Pastoral Education program for BayCare Health System.
- 400 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education is a required prerequisite.
- Required Education includes 1 unit Clinical Pastoral Education.
- Required Bachelor's degree in a Theology-related field, or currently enrolled in a Master's degree in a Theology-related field.
Qualifications
- Member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Provides spiritual care to meet the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of patients, families, and team members.
- Aids in planning and implementing department services and functions in collaboration with other department members.
- Engages in all aspects of the Clinical Pastoral Education program.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.

- Knowledge of healthcare systems and policies.
