Main Function
The Chaplain will provide Interfaith spiritual care to patients, families, and staff across the hospital under the guidance of the Director of Spiritual Care and Education.
Responsibilities
- Delivering direct spiritual support in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Leading and facilitating spirituality and support groups, as well as additional programming as assigned.
- Serving as a liaison between patients, families, and staff, offering support and guidance.
- Supporting community outreach, program development, and building partnerships within and beyond Griffin Health.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
- Performing both in-hospital and on-call chaplaincy shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Offering clerical support and demonstrating computer literacy for administrative responsibilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
- Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred (other relevant experience will be considered).
Experience
- Experience in Emergency Department chaplaincy and in diversity & inclusion work is strongly preferred.
- Must have experience in:
- Crisis Ministry
- Interfaith Chaplaincy
- Facilitating support and spirituality groups
