Changeover Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and responsible Changeover Specialist who excels in managing the overall changeover process. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the tools and die used in the industry, have strong mechanical skills, troubleshoot effectively, and be committed to following protocols without skipping steps. This self-motivated individual should ideally have experience in the automotive sector and a solid knowledge of the field to ensure seamless changeovers.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently plan and schedule changeovers to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with various teams to coordinate necessary equipment and materials for changeovers
• Conduct thorough pre-changeover inspections and address any concerns promptly
• Execute changeovers following standard procedures and safety protocols
• Identify and resolve issues that may arise during changeovers with precision
• Document changeover procedures and maintain accurate records of equipment setups
• Liaise with maintenance personnel to address any equipment maintenance or repair needs during changeovers
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the changeover process and boost efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in a relevant field is preferred
• Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in an automotive setting
• Proficiency in handling tools and die used in changeover processes
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow procedures meticulously
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
