Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events.
- Setting up and tearing down flooring, hockey glass, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment.
- Responsible for the physical setup of all areas around the Arena, including chairs, tables, staging, furnishings and equipment for sporting and live events.
- Responding to promoters'/clients' needs as directed by the onsite building manager.
- Aid in pre/post event cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, and carpet cleaning.
- Wear proper PPE work boots and gloves for all shifts.
- Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, entrances, and the event plaza.
- Snow removal of the outside areas as needed.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting, patching, and other conversion-related operational equipment.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment.
- Work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results.
- Actively care for all arena equipment and property by storing, cleaning, and maintaining changeover equipment.
- Respond and resolve set-up issues promptly as directed by fellow staff and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with event changeovers a plus.
- A high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities in a satisfactory manner.
- Ability to work under deadlines dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
- Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to get in and around the facility, bending, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, and working from various heights in an environment with moderate to loud noises.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects.
- Must be able to work in a manner that is safe and effective.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $16.75.
