About the role

Members of the operations Changeover Crew report directly to the Operations Manager. The position is primarily responsible for the changeover in the Arena from one event to another. Additionally, a member of the Operations Changeover Team may be involved in other aspects of building maintenance such as painting, trash disposal, exterior facility care, snow removal, and furniture moving. This role requires physical labor and heavy lifting. The Operations Changeover Team is vital in responding to the needs of promoters and clients—a positive attitude and appearance are essential.

This is a part-time, hourly role paying $18.50 per hour.

CFG Bank Arena is a 14,000+ seat, reimagined world-class concert and entertainment venue in Baltimore. It features over $250MM in renovations, including state-of-the-art acoustics, premium seating, modernized concourses, upscale food & beverage options, and exclusive club levels. The arena hosts 105+ shows annually and was ranked the 4th highest-grossing venue in North America and 11th worldwide by Billboard Magazine in December 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events, including setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment.
  • Respond to promoters’ and clients’ needs as directed.
  • Perform various duties to ensure day-to-day operations, such as loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste, and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist with pre- and post-event cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, and carpet cleaning.
  • Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, the garage, entrances, and the event plaza; perform snow removal during winter.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, and servicing conversion-related operational equipment.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both forms.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment (training and certification provided).
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other departments, clients, and patrons.
  • Work effectively under pressure and a stringent schedule to produce accurate results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with event changeovers is a plus.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment is desired.
  • Ability to work under deadlines dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Adaptability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Able to work in areas with moderate to loud noises.
  • Frequent bending, lifting heavy objects, sitting, exposure to external elements, standing for long periods, and extensive walking.
  • Work boots are required and must be provided by the employee; hard hats will be supplied by the arena for designated times on event days.
