About the role
This position focuses on leading teams in the continual enhancement of the Cloud One platform network and common services and will integrate with other platform clouds including AWS and Azure. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Change Management process at the portfolio level, ensuring consistent adoption and compliance across all projects & workstreams within the program.
- Serve as the primary Change Management authority for a large-scale Cloud Hosting program spanning multiple CSPs, ensuring all change activity is governed under a unified, cohesive framework.
- Ensure all projects within the portfolio adhere to established Change Management policies, procedures, and reporting requirements, providing guidance and oversight to project-level change coordinators as needed.
- Lead the program's transition from a pre-deployment approval model (TRB/CAB) to an agile-aligned model where work is approved through sprint planning and PI planning, with the CAB serving as the implementation gateway rather than a development approval body.
- Chair and facilitate CAB meetings, ensuring changes are properly documented, reviewed, risk-assessed, and approved prior to implementation.
- Collaborate with program leadership, PMO, and project teams to align Change Management process with Agile delivery cadences, including sprint ceremonies and PI Planning events.
Process & Compliance
- Establish and maintain Change Management documentation including policies, standard operating procedures, change templates, and reporting dashboards.
- Monitor and report on change compliance, change success rates, backout/rollback activity across all program projects, providing regular metrics and trend analysis to program leadership and the PMO.
- Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement across the change lifecycle and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Change Management processes are compatible with and responsive to DoD and Federal compliance requirements, integrating relevant framework requirements (DESMF, RMF, etc) alongside ITIL best practices.
