About the role

The Medical Director of Psychiatry at CentraState Medical Center oversees a 19-bed adult inpatient unit that includes both voluntary and involuntary patients. Responsibilities include consult & liaison psychiatry, crisis intervention, and addiction psychiatry. Interest or experience in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a 19-bed adult inpatient unit that includes both voluntary and involuntary patients.
• Provide leadership to advance CentraState’s mission and strategic priorities.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate scheduling for behavioral health clinicians.
• Offer consult & liaison psychiatry, crisis intervention, and addiction psychiatry.
• Manage ECT if interested/experienced.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Psychiatry
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• 2-3 years of proven leadership experience required
• ECT experience preferred
