Responsibilities
Oversight of faculty actions (appointments, reappointments, and promotions) and faculty clinical duty assignments as well as research and teaching efforts.
Qualifications
- A preference will be given to applicants holding a VMD/DVM degree or its equivalent, along with a research degree (PhD, DVSc, or equivalent).
- A proven track record of successfully obtaining competitive external research funding and collaborative science is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and an understanding of the academic environment are required.
- The successful applicant will have administrative and management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a record of scholarly activities.
- The demonstrated ability to mentor faculty, house officers, and VMD students, as well as build a collegial team atmosphere, is essential.
