Role Overview
This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a motivated physician to shape the future of a well-respected Department of Medicine. This role offers an approximate 25% administrative component, allowing for a perfect balance of clinical practice and strategic oversight within a robust health system network.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Subspecialty Division Chiefs: Ensure operational excellence, optimal staffing levels, and seamless delivery of care across all major divisions and the residency program.
- Drive Strategic Recruitment and Retention: Build a highly stable, world-class clinical team through strategic initiatives.
- Align Departmental Operations: Align departmental operations with overarching organizational policies, capital budgets, and strategic goals.
- Maintain Clinical Performance: Monitor and enhance clinical performance, promote best practices, and introduce new medical technologies.
Qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
