CHAIR, DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL SCIENCES & ADVANCED MEDICINE

Responsibilities

Oversight of faculty actions (appointments, reappointments, and promotions) and faculty clinical duty assignments as well as research and teaching efforts.

Requirements

• PhD, DVSc, or equivalent research degree
• VMD/DVM degree or its equivalent
• Board certification in a relevant field
• Proven track record of successfully obtaining competitive external research funding and collaborative science
• Demonstrated leadership experience and understanding of the academic environment
• Administrative and management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Record of scholarly activities
• Mentoring faculty, house officers, and VMD students
• Build a collegial team atmosphere

• Strong research background
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Leadership and mentoring skills

Pay

The anticipated start date of the position is within the next 12 months. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
