CFO/Head of Capital Markets
About the role
We are seeking a strategically minded Chief Financial Officer / Head of Capital Markets to help lead the next phase of growth for an emerging defense, AI, and mission-critical technology company.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute capital markets strategy to support company growth initiatives
Leverage relationships with hedge funds, crossover investors, PIPE investors, family offices, institutional investors, and capital markets advisors
Lead investor outreach, financing discussions, and fundraising activities
Serve as a key spokesperson to investors, partners, advisors, and financial stakeholders
Build and maintain long-range financial models and growth forecasts
Develop revenue, valuation, and capital deployment strategies
Prepare board presentations, investor materials, and financing documents
Support due diligence, data rooms, and strategic transactions
Partner closely with executive leadership on growth initiatives and corporate strategy
Build scalable finance processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Support PCAOB audits and public-company readiness initiatives
Establish reporting frameworks and governance processes suitable for a public company
Oversee the finance function as the organization continues to scale
Requirements
Experience as a CFO, Head of Capital Markets, VP Finance, Deputy CFO, or similar senior finance executive
Prior experience in a public company or late-stage growth company environment
Demonstrated success raising capital and engaging institutional investors
Established relationships with hedge funds, crossover investors, PIPE investors, SPAC sponsors, or public-market investors
Strong understanding of public-market transactions and financing structures
Experience developing financial models, forecasting, investor presentations, and board materials
Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
Qualifications
Experience in defense, aerospace, AI, deep-tech, software, advanced technology, or related industries
Experience with IPOs, SPAC transactions, PIPE financings, reverse mergers, or public-company capital raises
Investment banking, corporate development, investor relations, or capital markets experience
Familiarity with high-growth company environments and value-creation initiatives

Ability to manage complex financial models and forecasts
