Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead the CES function for the operation, ensuring consistent clinical education practices across the system.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for field and leadership personnel and oversee clinical aspects of field performance.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver education programs, including orientation, continuing education, simulation-based training, and BLS/ACLS/PALS courses.
  • Manage the AHA Training Center, supporting instructors, training sites, and community outreach in accordance with AHA policies.
  • Mentor and support CES staff, Field Training Officers, and preceptors to promote a collaborative, high-performance education team.
  • Conduct clinical call reviews, QA investigations, and documentation audits; provide timely reporting and recommendations to leadership.
  • Track and maintain employee clinical certifications, vaccinations, and training records.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives using evidence-based practices, trend analysis, and performance data.
  • Participate in equipment evaluation, protocol development, and updates to clinical and educational SOPs.
  • Represent the organization with EMS agencies, educational partners, facilities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide clinical guidance for documentation, billing, and appeals processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhere to information security requirements, and ensure compliance with all company policies.
  • Support performance evaluations, coaching, and development of assigned personnel.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the direct delivery of pre-hospital advanced life support as a Paramedic to include experience in critical care environments.
  • Experience in performing, evaluating, instructing, and coaching all aspects of the delivery of pre-hospital care.
  • Experience in simulation education and continuous quality improvement processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Current State Certification as a Paramedic.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider certifications.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor certifications preferred.

Skills

  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in pre-hospital care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
