Certified X-Ray Technologist

Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. No weekends or major holidays. Overtime may sometimes occur but is not common.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• License through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

About the role

We are a large, privately owned, primary care office located on the campus of St. Vincent's in Birmingham. Our X-Ray Techs work together to maintain an efficient department and provide quality patient scans as ordered by the physicians.

Responsibilities

• Operating radiology equipment under the direction of the physicians
• Explaining the process and correct positioning to the patients for their scan
• Moving and adjusting equipment to set exposure factors
• Reviewing and evaluating images to determine if they are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
