Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

About the role

Companion Animal Hospital in Hillsboro is growing and seeks a Veterinary Technician to join their team. The practice is a full-service, 3 DVM, AAHA accredited hospital with advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians with cases throughout the day
• Mentor and educate non-credentialed technicians and assistants on all things veterinary
• Includes anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, and surgical prep
• May include weekend shifts

Requirements

• Extremely detail-oriented
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Outgoing and able to connect with clients and patients
• Organized and able to multi-task
• Document medical records
• Fill medications
• Handle client interactions
• Help keep the clinic clean and well-stocked
• Other pet care needs as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the veterinary field with a credentialed certified veterinary technician
