About the role

University Veterinary Hospital and Diagnostic Center is actively seeking a dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our tenured, supportive team. We welcome candidates who are passionate about general practice and outpatient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians in providing veterinary care to patients
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Perform diagnostic tests and collect samples
  • Provide patient care and comfort
  • Document patient care and treatment in electronic health records
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
  • Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for full-time positions)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or related field
  • Completion of a recognized veterinary technician program
  • Current certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Skills

  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Pay

$25-$28/hour (based on experience)

Schedule

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • Options for 3-12s or 4-10s with rotating Saturday shifts (every other week)
