Certified Veterinary Technician
Responsibilities
Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
Assisting in surgery
Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Requirements
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Arizona
- Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
- Client education and communication
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
Qualifications
- Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license
Skills
- Knowledge of advanced conventional medicine and holistic therapies including acupuncture, laser therapy, chiropractic care, herbal medicine, and canine rehabilitation
- Experience with preventative medicine, surgery, rehabilitation, or integrative therapies

Pay and Schedule
Compensation: $24-30 per hour, for each hour worked
Schedule and compensation: Flexible, full-time or part-time position with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday
