About the role
Union Park Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.
Responsibilities
- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Aiding in surgery
- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Utah
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Client education and communication
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
Qualifications
- Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply

Pay
Compensation: $22 - $26 per hour, for each hour worked
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 or 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, no weekends!
Benefits Package
- Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Utah
- CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials
