Certified Veterinary Technician

About the role

Rockingham Emergency Veterinary Hospital (REVH) is seeking additional full time experienced ER technicians to join their fun and skilled team. REVH is a privately-owned 24/7/365 emergency and critical care hospital located in Windham, New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patients
• CPR assistance, placement of IV catheters, central lines, nasal oxygen, urinary catheters, etc (based on experience and training)
• Assisting in stabilizing patients as required
• Performing in-house diagnostic tests (Xray, blood, urine, etc)
• Inducing, prepping, maintaining, monitoring, and recovering surgical patients
• Client communication
• Providing inpatient treatment and nursing care
• Maintaining continuous hospital flow
• Occasional reception duties

Requirements

• Significant ER experience and is credentialed (CVT, VTS)
• At least 1 year of experience and excellent clinical skills, exotics experience a plus!
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills
• Works well independently AND in a team environment
• The ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, prioritize, is organized, and is able to work with little to no supervision
• A confident surgery/ anesthesia technician
• Strong computer skills

Pay

• Technicians work 3 shifts per week, 12 hour shifts
• Generous overnight shift differential
