About the role

VCA Pleasant Bay Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. Established in 1975, we serve the communities of Harwich, Chatham, Brewster, Dennis, Orleans, and surrounding areas of the lower cape. Our hospital offers a wide range of services including medical care, bathing, wellness exams, preventive care, diagnostics, spays, neuters, dental procedures, and advanced orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations, patient assessments, and recovery
• Administer procedural anesthesia and monitor patients
• Administer IV fluids and calculate CRI
• Perform hands-free radiology and diagnostic imaging
• Communicate with clients and prepare discharge plans

Requirements

• Credential as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
• Positive attitude and strong motivation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary medicine
• Strong communication skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills

Skills

• Proficiency in veterinary equipment and procedures
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Effective time management

Benefits

• Compensation: $25 - $30/hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status
• Potential Schedule: Full time, Tuesday through Saturday
