Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
- Assisting with surgery, dentistry, and anesthesia monitoring
- Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory diagnostics
- Collecting patient histories and maintaining accurate medical records
- Educating pet parents on treatment plans and preventive care
- Practicing Fear Free, low-stress patient handling
- Supporting and mentoring Veterinary Assistants while fostering a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Current Florida LVT, RVT, or CVT license
- Experience with surgery, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, venipuncture, and diagnostics
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for Fear Free medicine and exceptional client service
- Comfort using veterinary technology and electronic medical records
