Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

About the role

The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) will provide therapeutic recreation services to patients at Havenwyck Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recreational programs tailored to meet patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Assess patient interests and abilities to plan activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field.
• Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
• Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

Salary range: $45,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule
