Certified Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement all components of the NHPS Extended School Year services
• Supervise students as assigned in designated by IEP
• Maintain all required data and record-keeping for summer programming, including a summative student work sample portfolio
• Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
• Monitor and record student attendance in Powerschool
• Determine and implement classroom management procedures and communicate documented student incidents to building leaders
• Administer mandated assessments and maintain documentation of student progress
• Maintain professional relationships with building lead, curriculum lead, parents, students, co-workers and other stakeholders
• Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations, including those policies and procedures adopted by NH
• Be able to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff and students
• Able to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills

Requirements

• CT Teacher certification 165 (comprehensive special education)
• Preference will be given to those who previously worked in ESY

Compensation

$35.00 per hour
