About the Role
As a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be a valued part of a highly collaborative team passionate about delivering newborns safely and with the highest standards of care. You’ll prepare the surgical suite, support the team during procedures, and ensure every patient receives compassionate care. The role offers access to training and mentorship, predictable scheduling with on-call support, and clear pathways for growth.
Responsibilities
- Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
- Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
- Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
- Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
- Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience
Requirements
- Work experience in lieu of a degree
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
Schedule
Full time, night shift (rotating weekends).
