Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certified Surgical Tech

Contract Length: 13 weeks · Guaranteed Hours: 40 · Schedule: Monday–Friday days plus potential call

About the role

• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments and supplies, retracting tissue, supporting patient positioning, and assisting with surgical workflow.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures while maintaining a safe and organized surgical environment.
• Support perioperative patient care by assisting with patient transport, positioning, specimen management, documentation processes, and postoperative preparation activities.
• Participate in on-call coverage and be prepared to scrub urgent or emergent procedures within required response times.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Current BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous operating room experience
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures
• Ability to participate in call coverage and respond within required timeframes

Note: Travelers will start on Wednesdays. During the week of orientation, travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours due to midweek start.
