About the role
The Surgical Technologist provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Selects, assembles, tests, and operates equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Is responsible and accountable in performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
- Contributes to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
Qualifications
- Vocational / Technical school Certifications: Certified Scrub Tech
- BLS required
- Experience: 0 - 1 year of experience preferred
