About the role

A Certified Surgical Technician who excels in this role:

  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
  • Set up the operating room prior to procedures
  • Assist surgeons during procedures (passing instruments, maintaining sterile field)
  • Ensure all surgical supplies are available and accounted for
  • Maintain infection control standards
  • Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures

Responsibilities

A Certified Surgical Technician who excels in this role:

Requirements

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting preferred.

Certifications:

  • A Certified Surgical Technician required from a nationally recognized organization (AST, NBSTSA, NHA).
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Handle with Care certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
