Certified Surgical Technician - First Assist (Per Diem)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will attend to patients' direct care needs, anticipate the surgeon's requirements, and maintain a professional attitude respecting patient dignity, privacy, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical proficiency in surgical technology practices.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Function within the scope of practice established by medical staff and law.
• Demonstrate knowledge of care appropriate to the patient’s age group.
• Maintain continuing education to stay current in perioperative practices.

Requirements

• Technical school or associate's degree in Surgical Technology.
• 3-5 years of surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Current CSFA, CSA, or SA-C certification.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
