About the role
White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Certified Surgical Tech for our Operating Room.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Surgical Team in providing a safe, appropriate, and culturally aware patient care
- Helps surgeons during surgery by passing them instruments and other sterile supplies
- Prepares the Operation Room with all the necessary supplies
- Properly sterilizes required instruments and supplies
- Serves as surgical assistant as needed
- Aids in order and restocking Operating Room supplies and instruments
Requirements
- High school or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program
- One year hospital Operating Room experience preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Qualifications
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Skills
- Ability to assist surgeons during surgery
- Knowledge of sterile technique
- Good organizational skills
