About the role
The Surgical Technologist role is based in the Surgery Department at the main campus, working full-time with a 36-hour schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assists surgeons during pediatric intraoperative procedures by maintaining sterile technique, preparing age-appropriate instrumentation, and passing supplies according to physician preferences.
- Collaborates with the care team.
- Participates in quality improvement.
- Acts as a role model, educator, and patient advocate.
Requirements
- Must have an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
- Must hold or obtain CST certification.
- Preferably have CPR certification within two weeks of starting.
Work Hours
Work hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, with potential call responsibilities across campuses.
