Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - MUSC Florence Ambulatory Surgery Center PRN

About the role

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II functions as a member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST) required and must be maintained.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
