Certified Surgical Tech (CST) II

Job Summary Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II prepares sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, assists with direct patient care, and performs room duties as part of the operating room team. They demonstrate advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, following established procedural guidelines. Responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile environments, and providing appropriate care based on patient development levels and family needs. They operate autonomously, collaborating with healthcare professionals to support surgical operations. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent, plus graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or military surgical tech program. Minimum Of Two Years' OR Experience. Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and current BLS certification. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and manual dexterity skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and fine motor operations. Excellent visual and auditory acuity, stress management, and ability to work in diverse environments.
