Certified Surgical Tech / CST - Baptist - L&D

About the role

Join our team as a day shift (7a–7p), full-time Certified Surgical Tech in the Labor and Delivery Unit at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. You may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the sterile field under supervision.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the procedure and support surgical team needs.
• Check supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrub, gown, and glove appropriately.
• Set up sterile tables with instruments and supplies under guidance.
• Perform instrument and sponge counts with the circulator.
• Pass instruments during surgery.
• Aid in cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization.
• Support terminal cleaning of rooms and preparation for the next procedure.
• May retrieve and transport medications (no preparation or administration).

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• NCCT-TS-C (Tech in Surgery–Certified) OR AST-CST (Certified Surgical Tech).
• May consider a non-certified tech who has completed a surgical technology program or has at least 1 year of scrub experience.
