Responsibilities
The Licensed Addiction Counselor is responsible for the designs, develops, and implements all programs related to substance use and abuse prevention and intervention in conjunction with the Mental Health Consultant and Health Services staff, center physician and Center Director.
The Licensed Addiction Counselor coordinates all programs designed to reduce and eliminate substance use and abuse and in compliance with the Department of Labor/Job Corps guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducts in-service training sessions with both staff and students in all areas related to substance use and abuse.
- Submits recommendations to the Center Director for medical terminations related to substance misuse and abuse in conjunction with the Mental Health Consultant, center physician, Health and Wellness Manager (RN), etc.
- Monitors behavior and progress of students involved in the Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Prevention/Intervention Program.
- Maintains confidential reports and records on all referrals and cases.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
- Prefer One year of work-related experience; youth experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
Pay
Salary Rate: $49,920 - $52,000
1099 Hourly Rate: $32-$25
Full-Time, Part-Time, and 1099 opportunities available
