About the role
We are seeking a CSAC-A Supervisee or CSAC-A to perform clinical and administrative activities related to outpatient substance abuse referrals. Responsibilities include providing substance use case management, assisting with group counseling invites, and working with individuals, families, and couples impacted by addiction. Services may be delivered via telehealth or in-person.
Responsibilities
- Provide substance use case management
- Assist with sending invites for group counseling
- Work with individuals, families, and couples affected by addiction
- Deliver services through telehealth and face-to-face contact
- Connect individuals to community resources and supports for overall health and wellbeing
Requirements
- CSAC-A Eligible or CSAC-A certified by the Virginia Board of Counseling
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and recovery (through education or lived experience)
- Understanding of the disease model of addiction, community resources, and treatment options (through education or lived experience)
- Ability to work within the community to provide support services
