Decontaminate and Sanitize Surgical Instruments
Decontaminate and sanitize surgical instruments and high-tech equipment with meticulous care, serving as our hospital’s first line of defense against infection. Verify the perfection of every surgical tray by inspecting, testing, and assembling instruments, ensuring our surgeons have exactly what they need to perform successful, delay-free procedures. Master and monitor advanced sterilization systems and equipment, validating that every cycle rigorously meets safety standards for a flawlessly sterile clinical environment. Manage instrument inventory and coordinate case-cart preparation to support the seamless, rapid flow of the daily operating room schedule. Uphold exceptional standards of clinical precision by participating in collaborative peer quality audits, fostering a team culture of continuous learning and zero-error safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: One or more of the following required: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
