About the role
The Certified Scrub Technician is responsible for preparing and providing technical assistance to physicians during surgical invasive procedures. This role includes care, cleaning, and maintenance of specialized equipment, instruments, supplies, and sterilization equipment. Basic patient care functions are performed within established guidelines under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma plus 1 year vocational school
- No prior work experience required
- Certified Scrub Tech (CST) certification
Qualifications
The CST I is an entry-level position for those who have recently graduated from an approved Surgical Technology program or for uncertified surgical technologists with 1 year of experience.
