About the Role
As a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) at HCA Florida Blake Hospital, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement Respiratory Care Plans. Responsibilities
- Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.
- Work self-directedly in the absence of a full-time Team Leader.
- Maintain department and hospital records, ensuring accurate entry of therapy information into the hospital computer system.
- Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages.
Requirements
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380+ bed facility located in Bradenton, FL, on a thirteen-acre campus near the Gulf Coast beaches.
