Responsibilities
- Mechanical ventilation and mechanical ventilation support
- Airway management including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning
- Aerosolized drug delivery
- Ventilator management (setup and operation)
- Oxygen delivery and monitoring
- Chest x-ray analysis
- Blood gas collection and analysis
- EKG analysis
- Documentation of patient care
- Equipment cleaning and restocking
- Assisting with emergency responses (Code Blue and White)
- Leading or supporting teams during CAP and JC surveys
- Advanced skills such as therapeutic gas management, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, and education
Requirements
- Two to three years of experience preferred
- RCP license in the state of employment required
- BLS certification required
- CRT through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
