About the Role

The School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is recruiting for a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) faculty member in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. This is a 12-month clinical track position with full benefits, starting August 1, 2025.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in the DNP program
• Active contribution to scholarship through evidence-based practice
• Student supervision and advising, including participation in DNP capstone projects
• Service to the school, university, and community/profession

Requirements

• Graduate degree in nursing
• Doctoral degree in nursing or related field (completed by August 1, 2025)
• Unencumbered RN license in North Carolina
• CRNA certification and licensure in North Carolina (required by August 1, 2025)
• Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering anesthesia

Qualifications

• Teaching experience
• Current CRNA clinical practice
• Scholarship appropriate to the desired rank
• Simulation expertise (demonstration required during interview)

• Primarily indoors
• Frequent: repetitive hand movements, reading, hearing, talking, standing, sitting, walking, grasping, finger dexterity, writing
• Occasional: lifting 0-60 lbs, pushing/pulling, reaching
• Rare: lifting over 60 lbs, climbing (stairs/ladders), bending, squatting, crawling, exposure to gas leaks or infectious bacteria
• Use of respirator may be required
