About the role
Vaughan Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time CRNA to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Administers anesthetic care for patients requiring anesthesia, sedation, and/or pain relief therapy.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation/education of the patient.
- Administers pre-anesthetic medication as well as anesthesia (general, regional, local, or moderate sedations).
- Develops and implements a plan of care, including post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
- Provides invasive and noninvasive monitoring of patient's condition and responds to abnormal responses.
- Affords assistance with providing emergent care by providing airway management; administering emergency fluids, blood, and drugs; and performing life support techniques.
- Performs clinical support functions including managing materials and supplies and developing clinical policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum education: Master's degree (Must be a graduate of an Anesthesia Education Program)
- Required: Licenses - Anesthetist, Certified Registered Nurse, Currently licensed as a CRNA by the Alabama Board of Nursing and the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Alabama
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
