About the role

The City of Nacogdoches Police Department is seeking a Certified Police Officer for the Patrol Division. We are looking for individuals ready to protect and serve the community of Nacogdoches.

Responsibilities

- Perform law enforcement duties, including patrolling assigned areas in a police car, on a bicycle or on foot. - Respond to calls for assistance. - Investigate criminal offenses. - Apprehend criminals. - Collect and preserve evidence. - Prepare reports. - Direct traffic.

Minimum Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED. - Must possess a valid Texas Driver License. - Basic Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Peace Officer certification required. (TCOLE Intermediate, Advanced or Master certificate adds an additional certificate pay up to $200.00 per month). - Must be twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of the test.

Testing Requirements

All entry-level applicants must successfully complete and pass a standard written examination and the Nacogdoches Police Department physical agility test.
