Requirements
- Currently employed as a sworn Police Officer in "good standing"
- Successfully completed an FTO program in "good standing"
- If recently separated from service, must have been in "good standing" at the time of separation
- Must be a U.S. citizen and a high school graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position
- No felony convictions and no record of serious misdemeanor convictions
- Valid Michigan driver's license
Qualifications
- Must be certified as a law enforcement officer at the time of application
- Must have no felony convictions and no record of serious misdemeanor convictions
- Must be of a good moral character
- Must meet the MCOLES Employment Standards

Pay
- Starting pay ranges from $57,725 to $83,578 based on years of qualifying work experience as a Certified Police Officer.
