The City of McMinnville Police Department seeks initiative-driven individuals passionate about serving the community. This Certified Police Officer position protects life and property by enforcing city and state laws.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all city statutes and ordinances and state laws and regulations
• Work proactive shifts, answering calls of service, working traffic, patrolling streets, and deterring crimes
• Work both indoors and outdoors, potentially in adverse weather conditions
• Testify in court and legal proceedings
• Prepare and maintain reports, logs, citations, and other documentation
• Communicate effectively and respond under high-stress situations
• Be a liaison with citizens and law enforcement; engage in community policing

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and a citizen of the United States
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• No felony convictions
• Meet all POST standards
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

This position is paid based on experience with a minimum starting salary of $46,000 plus holiday pay (14 days) and night shift differential. It is a 12-hour shift with every other weekend off. Pay

The starting salary is $46,000 plus holiday pay (14 days) and night shift differential.

Schedule

The position is a 12-hour shift with every other weekend off.
