About the role
The City of McMinnville Police Department seeks initiative-driven individuals passionate about serving the community. This Certified Police Officer position protects life and property by enforcing city and state laws.
Responsibilities
- Enforce all city statutes and ordinances and state laws and regulations
- Work proactive shifts, answering calls of service, working traffic, patrolling streets, and deterring crimes
- Work both indoors and outdoors, potentially in adverse weather conditions
- Testify in court and legal proceedings
- Prepare and maintain reports, logs, citations, and other documentation
- Communicate effectively and respond under high-stress situations
- Be a liaison with citizens and law enforcement; engage in community policing
Requirements
- At least 18 years old and a citizen of the United States
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- No felony convictions
- Meet all POST standards
- Valid driver's license
Qualifications
This position is paid based on experience with a minimum starting salary of $46,000 plus holiday pay (14 days) and night shift differential. It is a 12-hour shift with every other weekend off. Pay
