Certified Phlebotomy Technician-Fulltime-Laboratory-Fountain Valley-Nights
The Phlebotomist is primarily responsible for collecting patient blood via venipuncture or skin puncture. In addition, phlebotomists also perform clerical duties such as answering telephone calls directed at the front desk of the laboratory, as well as logging the specimens in the laboratory management system and processing them for testing.

Responsibilities
- Collect patient blood via venipuncture or skin puncture
- Perform clerical duties such as answering telephone calls directed at the front desk of the laboratory
- Log specimens in the laboratory management system
- Process specimens for testing
Requirements
- Current CA Phlebotomist License
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Work pace appropriate to the workload
- Effective working relationships across the Health System
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement: Candidate must have current CA Phlebotomist License, Current American Heart Association BLS certification, and possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Preferred qualifications: 2 years of hospital experience with adults and pediatric blood collections preferred. Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
