Certified Pharmacy Technician - Pediatric Inpatient

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. This role supports pharmacists and clinical teams to ensure every patient receives the safest, most accurate medication therapy.

Responsibilities

• Supports pharmacists and clinical teams to ensure every patient receives the safest, most accurate medication therapy.
• Daily responsibilities include: preparing, dispensing, and delivering medications to inpatient units; stocking and managing automated dispensing cabinets; compounding sterile and non-sterile products; assisting with STAT and batch medication preparation; managing medication inventory and supplies; providing excellent customer service to care teams; using pharmacy computer systems and technology for safe medication distribution.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA is required.
• TN Pharmacy Technician License.
• Less than 1 year of experience.

Pay

$18.50 - $20.50 per hour

Schedule

6:00am to 2:30pm or 2:00pm–10:30pm. Shift differential pay — evening shifts are eligible for shift differential.
