Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient intervention by offering health and wellness services and experiences relevant to the patient as allowed by state and federal laws.
- Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidentiality.
- Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
- Compound medications according to state and any other regulations.
- Perform post-fill audits to ensure prescription information matches computer records.
- Support non-dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications.
- Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law and company policies.
- Comply with and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations, identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations, reporting illegal activity.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure (desired)
- Previous comparable experience (desired)
Qualifications
- Desired: Any previous comparable experience
- Equivalent experience of a pharmacy technician
Skills
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
- Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
