Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient intervention by offering health and wellness services and experiences relevant to the patient as allowed by state and federal laws.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidentiality.
  • Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
  • Compound medications according to state and any other regulations.
  • Perform post-fill audits to ensure prescription information matches computer records.
  • Support non-dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications.
  • Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law and company policies.
  • Comply with and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations, identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations, reporting illegal activity.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure (desired)
  • Previous comparable experience (desired)

Qualifications

  • Desired: Any previous comparable experience
  • Equivalent experience of a pharmacy technician

Skills

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
