Requirements

  • Certified as a Peer Support Specialist by the Pennsylvania Certification Board
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Personal experience as a recipient of mental health services
  • Willingness to share experiences to provide expertise about the recovery process
  • At least 2 years of paid or volunteer work experience with individuals with severe mental illness preferred

  • Conducting cross-training for the ACT Team
  • Attending and actively engaging in internal and external treatment team meetings
  • Utilizing wellness management skills, incorporating a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Illness Management and Recovery (IMR)
  • Providing personalized coaching to empower consumers and support their recovery objectives
  • Sharing insights from your lived experiences to connect with and aid individuals undergoing mental health services
  • Offering direct support to ACT Team members, including ongoing symptom assessment, psychiatric rehabilitation, integrated dual disorder treatment (IDDT), medication management, and transportation for treatment plans
  • Participating in Individualized Treatment Team (ITT) processes, contributing valuable perspectives to consumer care
  • Conducting cross-training for the ACT Team, fostering a culture that recognizes, values, and integrates consumer perspectives into treatment plans
  • Attending and actively engaging in internal and external treatment team meetings, daily clinical team meetings, and other relevant sessions

Schedule

Weekly home visits, provided either in individuals' residences or within the community, utilizing personal vehicles for client transportation and community-based tasks.

Pay

$20.23/hour
