About the role
The Certified Peer Specialist is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of recovery processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients
- Facilitate group therapy sessions
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies
- Maintain client records and progress notes
- Participate in regular supervision meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals in recovery
- Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle
- Pass a background check
Qualifications

- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment

Pay
$30 - $40 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
