About the role

The Certified Peer Specialist is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of recovery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions
  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies
  • Maintain client records and progress notes
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals in recovery
  • Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle
  • Pass a background check

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with motivational interviewing techniques
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment

Pay

$30 - $40 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
